A space for turning towards yourself.

A space for healing alongside horses, held by an understanding of the nervous system — and beneath that, a belief that everyone carries the capacity to heal.

The heart behind Luminous

A deep belief in the human capacity to heal.

Beneath the patterns we've learned, the ways we protect ourselves, and the stories we've come to tell about who we are, there is always something waiting to be met with more understanding.

I have always been drawn to the complexity of being human.

To the quiet things we carry.

The experiences that shape us.

The ways we learn to survive.

The parts of ourselves we hide, protect or struggle to understand.

And perhaps most of all, to what becomes possible when we no longer have to face those things alone.

My work is grounded in knowledge, curiosity, and a deep respect for the human experience. But I believe none of it is meaningful without humility.

I do not believe in having all the answers.

I believe in listening deeply.

In staying open.

In making space for what is often difficult to say.

In meeting ourselves — and one another — with kindness, without judgement.

I believe healing is not about becoming someone else.

It is not about fixing what is broken.

Perhaps it is about slowly turning towards the parts of ourselves we have learned to move away from — and discovering that, when met with enough safety, understanding and compassion, even those parts can begin to soften.

I am here to hold space for that process. Not to lead you towards a version of yourself that you are not. But to walk alongside you as you begin to listen more closely to your own inner voice.

To make sense of what has shaped you.

To understand the patterns that no longer serve you.

And, perhaps, to find your way back to the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be seen.

This is the heart behind Luminous.

A space for curiosity.

For honesty.

For connection.

A closer look

The training, the horses, and the story that led here.

Where it begins

Time spent with horses, and attention paid to what the body is already telling us.

Presence Work with Horses

Sessions happen on the ground, alongside the horses, at whatever pace feels workable that day. As prey animals, horses have learned to read the smallest shifts in another body — tension, calm, what's held back — long before it becomes words. Being near them tends to surface that same honesty in us. There's no performing for a horse; they simply respond to what's actually there, gently and without judgment, in a way that often reaches something talking alone can't quite get to.

Finding safety in the body

Healing doesn't start with understanding why — it starts with the body feeling like a safe place to be again. So before anything else, the work pays attention to what's happening underneath: the tightness, the numbness, the racing, the shutting down. Slowly, and without rushing toward answers, that attention becomes practice — noticing without being swept away, returning to yourself after you've drifted, staying present even when it's hard. The insight comes later, once there's somewhere steady enough inside you to hold it.

I was only able to come and visit with the horses on two occasions, but the experience has had an indelible impact on me. I think about that experience every so often, and the memory is one of peace and comfort — and I was there in the winter. I hope to visit again as soon as I can.

…there are no words that could truly capture the emotional intensity of the moments I experience here… they belong to entirely different dimensions. There is something profoundly beautiful about reconnecting with one's own primal nature…

Equine therapy with Živa has really changed something for me. Being with the horses helps me slow down, breathe, and truly be present in the moment. The meditation and breathing exercises have had a real impact on my everyday life. I've learned to reconnect with the calm and peaceful feeling I have when I'm with the horses, even when I'm back in my daily life. I'm very grateful to have these therapies in my life ❤️

In the company of horses on the Karst plateau, I relax, settle down, and have a wonderful time — I don't rush, and I come home pleasantly tired. I'm fascinated by how horses behave within a herd. The horses tell me who I am when I'm with them. Grateful for these experiences.
